Magic Versus The Pokerface Man

Posted by Michael on October 13th, 2017

Thanks to being picked up by services such as MSN, this clip created from Chinese magician A Gan’s livestream is going viral world wide. As you can see, his friend is not exactly buying A Gan’s brand of magic… the sidekick has become so popular in China he is now known as “Pokerface Man.”

Orangutan Magic With Matt G

Posted by Michael on October 12th, 2016

Mindreader and magician Matt G is making waves of this video featuring his performance for an orangutan named Raj at the Colchester Zoo. We have seen primates react to magic in the past, but this one is a little different. It turns out that zoo audiences are like human ones… some holler and howl, some politely watch and some, like Raj, try to figure it out for themselves!

Catch more of Matt G at his official website. Read more about the magician encounter seen above on The Telegraph’s site.

Ryan Joyce And Christina Bianco Talk Viral-ity

Posted by Michael on December 11th, 2015

This is a bit long for us at a little over 18 minutes, but it is Video Friday. It is also a bit unusual. Magician and goofball Ryan Joyce recently had a video go viral. Instead of immediately trying to create a viral follow up, he has posted this conversation with his friend, singer and YouTube sensation, Christina Bianco about viral videos. With so many performers out there trying to figure out exactly how to go viral, this seems like something worth sharing. There is a small amount of vulgar language, but it is by and large safe for work.

See more of Ryan on his YouTube page and catch Christina on hers.

And Now For Something Completely Viral

Posted by Michael on November 2nd, 2015

Friend of iTricks Murray SawChuck is moving in to magic pranks with this video showing him messing with a police officer. HE posted it about a week ago and it has tens of thousands of hits on his YouTube channel (where he is promising weekly pranks), but it has millions of hits on Facebook. The lame thing is that many of these hits are on pages and channels of unscrupulous re-posters. (By the way, here is Murray’s official Facebook page.) We congratulate Murray on his successful video and hope he gets to capitalize off of it rather than others. We’d also like to mention that we at iTricks put messing with real cops firmly in that “don’t try this at home” zone!

A Little Post-Dental Surgery Magic

Posted by Michael on September 13th, 2015

Friend of iTricks Kyle Marlett just got his wisdom teeth removed… yeah, teeth: all four at once. Then, on the way home while still full of whatever they pumped into him, he thought, “Hey, I’m a professional: let’s do some magic. And let’s film it, too.” The results are pretty funny, so we are doing a rare weekend post to share it with you. We expect it to go viral… we are also glad that Kyle is a magician and not something a little more dangerous like a tightrope walker or taxi driver!

Kyle is still recovering, but he seems to be doing okay.

Neil Henry Makes A Fiance Appear

Posted by Michael on August 27th, 2015

There have been plenty of magical proposal videos in the last couple of years… so many, in fact, that we have become a bit discerning about which ones we post. Magician Neil Henry not only used a little magic to propose to his girlfriend Charlie, he did it on stage at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This video is all set up to go viral, too, with attention from major media outlets such as Time Magazine and the Huffington Post. Congratulations to Neil and Charlie!

Catch more of Neil on his Facebook and YouTube pages.

Young And Strange’s “Videobomb” Goes Viral

Posted by Michael on July 27th, 2015

Young and Strange posted a video last week showing them getting a little free publicity by sneaking their act in behind Sky News reporter Ashish Joshi. They have pulled almost four million views on their YouTube page and the video has been repeated on many other accounts and websites. But Friday it came out (as detailed in The Guardian) that the video was all a put on, filmed with Joshi’s cooperation, and never actually aired on Sky News.

Congratulations to the boys for their incredibly successful attempt to create a viral video.
