There is a new panel of judges for America’s Got Talent: The Champions, as revealed yesterday by current reigning champion Shin Lim.

According to World Screen, Passion Distribution will be handling the internatonal distribution of the upcoming Dynamo TV series.

Dan Sperry Talks To CBS 8 Las Vegas

Las Vegas CBS affiliate reached out to Dan Sperry about the recent equipment robbery forcing him to cancel shows. Speculation has been rampant in the magic community; not sure rumors and wild theories are really any help. However, you can help Dan by donating to his GoFundMe campaign.

Anthony Grupido, Siegfried And More

Anthony Grupido, who promotes suicide prevention messages with magic, on Fox 2 Detroit starts our slightly later than usual Magic Bulletin.

Roy Horn’s birthday is coming up next month (on October 3) but it is his on stage partner Siegfried Fischbacher getting the attention this week due to his upcoming interview with ABC’s 20/20. Read more over on the Entertainment Tonight Canada website.

David Kwong’s The Enigmatist is returning to New York for a limited run scheduled from November to January. You can get the details on Broadway World.

Also on Broadway World: fresh from America’s Got Talent, Dom Chambers and Eric Chien will be joining The Illusionists for a special Broadway holiday show running from November 29 until January 5, 2020.

The 2019 Milbourne Christopher Awards have been announced, with the awards to be formally presented September 28, 2019 along with a gala show at New London, Connecticut’s Garde Arts Center. This year’s recipients include:

Illusionist: Chuck Jones

Life Time Achievement Award: Dorothy Dietrich and Dick Brookz

The Milbourne Christopher Awards are presented by the Milbourne Christoper Foundation, a group set up by Maurine Christopher in 1989 to promote and encourage creativity and excellence in magic and named in honor of her late husband (seen performing above).

Dan Sperry Needs A Hand

Dan Sperry, as he explains in the above video, was recently the victim of a warehouse robbery. He is out of the country but has lost almost everything he needs to perform his shows.

If you are keeping track of magicians on international reality shows, Entertainment Daily reports after some actor we’ve never heard of got hurt and had to drop out of Strictly Come Dancing some other actor we’ve never heard of abandoned Dancing On Ice to fill the vacancy so Ben Hanlin is joining the Dancing On Ice fray.

BroadwayWorld’s Charity Corner has an opportunity to bid for tickets to see David Copperfield’s Vegas show and get a personal tour of his private magic museum.

Darcy Oake, AJ And Houdini Meets Who [Magic Bulletin]

Darcy Oake is going through to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions but first he stopped in to see Phillip and Holly on ITV’s This Morning.

The Amazing Johnathan is the guest on the latest Podkats from the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s John Katsilometes. You can find it, which is marked as part one, over on the Review-Journal site.

Finally, Harry Houdini has popped up in the world of Doctor Who a time or two in the last fifty or so years. Big Finish, which produces the official audio adventures of the original series, has just released a new Sixth Doctor adventure featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor, Nicola Bryant as his terminally frustrated companion Peri and John Schwab as Harry Houdini. Harry Houdini’s War, which sees the Doctor and the world’s most famous magician teaming up to search for spies during the First World War, can be found on the Big Finish website.
