Backstories Ain’t Just For Superheroes….

Posted by Michael on March 8th, 2019

In what we think is a first, a magician is getting a feature length backstory in The Sacred Riana: Beginning. She’s won Asia’s Got Talent, now she has her own movie… The Sacred Riana is basically unstoppable.

Seriously, when was the last time a magician played an exaggerated version of themselves as the main character of a film? Has it happened since Houdini’s foray’s into film?

No word on a US release date… have a great, and safe, weekend y’all!

Valentine’s Day With Hoang Tung

Posted by Michael on February 14th, 2019

Vietnamese magician Hoang Tung (Nguy?n Hoàng Tùng) offers up this magic-packed short film for Valentine’s Day. Finding Love features some Vietnamese text… but we’re pretty sure it is not anything that will hold anything back from following along! We’re not sure if the end is a statement about the characters’ future or is literally promising more. Given the relatively high production values and effort put into this piece we would not be surprised if there are future installments. You can keep an eye on Hoang Tung’s YouTube page to see if there is another installment.
