Justin Flom Teams With NHL For Webseries

The NHL has a new social media series called Hockey Is Magic which sees Justin Flom performing up close and personal for some of the league’s biggest stars… Just this weekend we were trying to figure out why we had not heard anything from Justin in a bit; now we know!

Levitations, Copperfield And More [Magic Bulletin]

First up, coverage of Henry Vargas and Klauss Duraes doing a little levitating over the streets of Sao Paolo, Brazil.

The new movie based on Dicken’s David Copperfield keeps getting tied to magic’s David Copperfield; the latest link was created when English comedian Daisy May Cooper, who appears in the film, attended in the premiere in a magician inspired outfit, complete with a stylized top hat and cape emblazoned with the image of Copperfield Las Vegas. Texas A&M’s Battalion looks at the work magician Kevin Spencer has been doing for the university’s Project Sunshine and throughout the area.

NPH, John Walton And Magic On TV [Magic Bulletin]

The Bellingham Herald caught up with John Walton, who appeared on Monday’s season finale of Penn & Teller: Fool Us. He did well, but that doesn’t mean he is satisfied with his effect!

Regular CW programming is returning, so the summer magic series are over for the year. You can still stream them for free on The CW website, though. Pluto TV has added a free streaming channel dedicated to Criss Angel: Mindfreak, too. Hopefully we will soon have news about upcoming seasons of Hip Hip Houdini and The Carbonaro Effect.

Dan Sperry thanking supporters for all the help and updating the situation after his warehouse was robber leads off our week.

Octoberfest (or Oktoberfest, depending on how excited you are) is coming… and Vegas News is continuing its tradition of catching magicians acting as keg tappers for local celebrations with pictures of Hans Klok at HofbrÀuhaus Las Vegas. We have to admit, Hans seems like a natural fit for the gig!

Speaking of German magicians and Vegas, Siegfried and Roy’s 20/20 appearance is making them subject of several articles including 5 facts about the duo and coverage of Montecore’s life and death. There is a new panel of judges for America’s Got Talent: The Champions, as revealed yesterday by current reigning champion Shin Lim.

According to World Screen, Passion Distribution will be handling the internatonal distribution of the upcoming Dynamo TV series.
