A host of name magicians including Eric Mead, Paul Wilson, Dan Buck, Dave Buck and others are looking to produce at magic documentary you can be proud of. Entitled Our Magic, the doc will feature interviews with a who’s who of performers and creators aimed at telling the story of magic without the cliches.
They are looking for $43,000 and if they get it, the doc will roll forward. Perks for donations include t-shirts, copies of the movies and producer credits.
Cardistry experts Dan and Dave Buck are heading to New Orleans to fill in as hand doubles for the new film Now You See Me. The bank heist thriller follows a group of magicians who seemingly rob banks while performing on stage only to give the money away to their audiences in the finale of the act.
They are chased down by FBI agents and hijinx, no doubt, ensue. The film stars Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Jesse Eisenberg and Isla Fisher. It also features Michael Caine, who has played like 50,000 magicians in his career. Which is awesome.
This is far from the first time the Brother Buck have hand doubled. Here is a super cut of their work from the children’s show Lazy Town.
