A Look At The Magic Castle And The Larsens

At last weekend’s Academy of Magical Arts Awards, the Devant Award (which is presented by the Magic Circle) was given to the Larsen Family, which arguably is America’s first family of magic. Although the family has been responsible for more than simply the Magic Castle, it is probably the most recognized. This Genii Online piece goes into some of its history and founding.

The AMA Magician Of The Year: Derren Brown

This year’s Academy of Magical Arts Awards declared Derren Brown, who recently celebrated 20 years of television specials, the Magician of the Year. We can only hope that we will be seeing more of Derren’s TV work in the US over the next year!

AMA Performing Fellowship Recipient Raymond Crowe

AMA Stage Magician Of The Year Lucy Darling
