Looks like Kreskin’s predictions for the government shutdown to end by the 15th didn’t quite pan out. I guess he forgot Sir John Quinton’s definition of politicians as people who “when they see the light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel.” Maybe his second prediction that there will be a second, brief government shutdown by February will still prove true. Catch up with Kreskin’s appearances on his official website AmazingKreskin.com.

According to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, Houdini the dog has found his way home. You probably remember the story of the scrappy pup that slipped out of a kennel and opened several doors (all caught on a security camera) to escape the Humane Society and become a minor celebrity. He was claimed by his owners who report that Rope (evidently Houdini was only a stage name) has history of escaping various kennels, fenced yards and the like… Rope does serve as a reminder, though, of all that the Humane Society does to keep animals safe and reunite families with their lost pets.
