Does art imitate life, when life is about people who practice the art of magic? Doing press for Burt Wonderstone, Jim Carrey mentioned in an interview to MTV that his character’s feud with Steve Carrel’s Wonderstone might capture a real life competition between Criss Angel and David Copperfield.

In all seriousness, Carrey had a similar experience with Copperfield, and he understood the relationship between real-life magicians. “He’s very cool. I don’t think him and Criss Angel are going out to dinner together, necessarily,” he said. “Coke doesn’t hang with Pepsi kind of thing, but there’s definitely a competitive edge. I think we captured that in the movie a little bit.”

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone opens in theaters this Friday.

Excuse me? Clearly, Jim Carrey doesn’t know what he’s talking about. No one “competes” with Copperfield. End of story. Also, Criss Angel sucks.

Couldn’t have said it better. Seriously, there is no comparison. Copperfield is a “MAGICIAN”. Angel is a phony who happened to hit on gullible people at the right time. Remember the list of shows to see in Vegas? Angel was in the 400′s.
I think even Hammie knows he sucks.

Thats why Criss Angel has another 11 hours on Spike while DC performs reel old magic on the Today show that would only fool a clock sucker!
