Criss Angel Asks Fans to Petition White House for Support of Pediatric Cancer Research

Amidst all of his other news, Criss Angel is asking his fans via Twitter to support a White House petition which would show support for cancer research.

The petition reads as follows:

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Light the White House gold for the month of September to honor pediatric cancer fighters and bring light to the cause.

Cancer is the number one disease killer in children, and seven kids die every day in the United States. We must raise awareness to impact this mortality rate. Changing this outcome requires awareness, and the President can lead this effort by lighting the White House gold for the month of September. Gold represents both the pediatric cancer cause and the light that children provide in our lives. We should honor them by shedding light on their battle. The color of that light is gold.

The petition is already over the 25,000 digital signature required to get a response from the Obama Administration, but the more support the better.

    Yes, I’m sure you knew I’d reply: Are all these Criss Angel stories really necessary? Sure Cancer research for children is important. There are PSA’s on TV every day for St. Jude’s Cancer hospital, but you don’t see founder Danny Thomas’ (if you’re old enough to remember him) picture plastered all over the ad. Make-A-Wish is great also, but we donated long before Angel took it upon himself to be Mr. Wonderful. More publicity, more promotion, whoever posted the ‘beLIEve’ theatre is two thirds empty is probably correct.

    As long as you’re collecting other peoples money, while promoting what a great guy you are, IMO deserves no credit. I remember when he was pushing ‘Make–Wish, he donated some small ridiculous amount. There are celebrities who do great things for people with no recognition. If John Doe asked me to sign the same petition, I would. Funny that this great deed comes at the same time he’s promoting a new TV show, somebody stole his cat, etc., etc. I agree with your comment..”I mean, really?

    Well, at the risk of sounding uncaring (Which I’m not). By your own article, the count is already over the 25,000 mark. With all the loyal fans he claims to have, there should be more than enough signatures. So why does iTricks, good old Robin Leach, and any other publicity he can get become necessary.

    Without cheating (checking the internet), who is associated with ‘Feed the children’ or ‘Stop animal abuse’ or other ads we see all the time on TV? Can you name the hosts for the ‘Support PBS’ fund drives? How did all these charities survive before Angel came along?

STOP READING ABOUT HIM!!! asking for people to sign a petition when they are short signatures (which they where) until he tweeted about it is not a crime and how about st judes commercials is not enough!! along with the ACS it is not enough to save these kids they are way under funded they get 20K a year for research per kid and a child with aids gets 500k and for every kid with aids their are 12 with cancer and that is just one example! so no ” HAL” who knows everything and criss angel can never do right in your eyes! Childhood cancer is ignorded and dose not get the attenion it needs and or deserves! So why don’t you keep it to yourself when you are not educated to make a proper statement not you idiotic comments!!

He is one of a kind, what other magician ever asked for votes to be chosen the greatest? You earn votes, not beg for them. Do singers beg for best song awards?
