A UK Magician last seen on the ITV competition Fool Us, is now in hot water after he admitted to authorities that he sent explicit photos and messages via SMS to a 15-year-old girl.
Richard Bellars met the girl during a marathon magic session in Kent. The two kept in contact before she sent him a topless photo of herself. Bellars responded with several lewd pictures and messages. He later turned himself in.
Speaking after the hearing he said: ‘I hope people can see what I did for what it was. I am not a bad man, I am a good man that did a bad thing.
‘I handed myself in to the police and will be punished for my actions. I have almost lost my family, my self-respect and my career for what was a stupid, stupid mistake.
‘I would like to say sorry to everyone who has been affected by my behaviour.’
Bellars also performed on the most recent season of Britain’s Got Talent.
