You’ve got 19 Japanese exchange students still learning English. They go to school all over the country. How do you help continue their socialization into our American culture?

Magic camp!

The three week, multilingual camp was held in Castle Rock, Colorado and ended with a public magic recital where the campers could show what they’ve learned.

The magic camp was selected because of its potential to teach the students the value of public speaking, she said. Among the acts on recital day was a teleportation demonstration, a mind-reading act and a magical straw trick.

Next year they should all graduate to the next level of magic geekery… a convention.
