Right out of the gate, magic proved itself to be a front-runner with Spencer Horsman opening the show. He performed an escape from a torture cell filling with cement.

His performance received rave reviews from the judges commenting on how he stepped up his game and almost killed himself.

Jarrett & Raja came back with a illusion which harkened back to their Orchestra appearance in Vegas. It consisted of Raja entering a crate with a large grand piano and performing Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, only to have the crate open to nothing with Raja appearing near the back of the theater to a standing ovation.

Tune in to find out if they made it, tonight at 9ET on NBC.

“Nearly killed himself”? What would they do if he didn’t appear in the 90 seconds, leave him in the cement for a few hours? PLEASE

Jarrett & Raja did put on a much better performance. How did he get to the back of the theater? Hmmmmmm
I’m trying to figure out the dog. Does he tape his real mouth shut? He has a good act. My wife was so impressed with ‘Horse’, she kicked me in the nuts. They should use ‘Great Balls of Fire’ as their backround music.

Amazing how HAL never has a single positive thing to say on this website about anyone or anything, big or small. Seems like someone is a little frustrated with his/ her career. I’d be interested to know of HAL’s resume in the magic (or entertainment world in general). If he’s well accomplished and experienced, then maybe it would be worth hearing his negative comments and criticism towards our arts day after day, week after week. Just a thought.

I think you’re “ONLY” reading the bad comments. I always have “POSITIVE” comments about Copperfield, P&T, S&R, etc. I’ve said many times here, you may not agree with what I say, but seldom does anyone show that what I say is wrong? How do you honestly make positive comments for acts that screw up on AGT, or do routines that a child can figure out? Truth is, ‘you can fool some of the people’, etc., etc. These acts don’t stand a snowball’s chance of winning. As for his/her career, I don’t know many females named Hal. I’m retired, so any frustration would have ended some time ago. I played music for many years, but never claimed to be any more than average. I’m not a magician, but feel I know more than most non-magicians about illusions. The good ones fool me, the average acts don’t. Most of the AGT acts don’t. Perfect example was Dittelman’s “Deal” trick. How can an audience of hundreds on AGT not realize how lame it was. I had it half way through the trick.. Then the appearing motorcycle and jaws of death. Sorry, I just can’t find the positive comments you’re looking for.

I’m sure you’ may have noticed, most of my negative comments are about Angel. Maybe you’re a good one to ask, since you refer to your “ART”. What is your opinion of someone gaining such success through deceit and lies with a TV show that, IMO, turns the “Art of Magic” into a joke? Now he has this Internet farce, with little magic, trying to sell this garbage on his website. Be glad to hear your opinion.
