After two weeks of Olympics, America’s Got Talent came back with no bang in sight. With only a miniscule amount of stand-out acts, most would argue magic was not one of them.
Rudy Coby performed his “Puppet Boy” routine which got buzzed by Sharon and Howard. The judges criticized his timing. Much like last year’s big-name magic YouTube contestant Brett Daniels, there was arguments and disagreements among judges about his act.
Eric Buss performed his signature “Spring Snake Symphony” which like Coby both got buzzed by Howard and Sharon. His odd routine didn’t surprise Howard after seeing it live, while Howie said it would be a million dollar birthday party. Buss replied, “Hey, a million dollars is a million dollars!”
The Magic of Puck came as a surprise to us at iTricks, having not seen him as one of the contenders for the audience vote. His performance harkened back to one of The Spellbinder While he wasn’t the best act of the night, he did get better responses from the judges and crowd.
Find out who get through tonight at 9ET on NBC.
