Brandon Parnes back again, and we’re doing something a little different. In the 7 years that America’s Got Talent has been on the air, only two have made it to the Top 10. Today, it’s a battle of the best between Michael Grasso and Landon Swank.
Michael Grasso – Season 5
After being thrown out the competition in Vegas, Grasso was brought back by judge Sharon Osbourne and made it to the semi-finals. America voted him through, making him the first magician in AGT history to make it to the Top 10. Grasso presented the illusion “Excalibur,” first performed by Mark Wilson. The judges, as always, asked how he does it, to which he replied “I don’t know, I wasn’t watching.”
VERSUS
Landon Swank – Season 6
Unlike his opponent Grasso, Swank did make it to the Quaterfinals. After failing to gather America’s votes, he was eliminated. In a turn of events Piers Morgan, who has publicly said he doesn’t enjoy magic, brought back Swank in the wild card round. We was sent through by America to the semi-finals. After a bone-chilling semi-final performance, we was sent through becoming the second magician to make the Top 10. His performance received rave reviews from the judges but stirred up a mini magic controversy in to process.
