The long and winding road for the film adaptation of Mandrake the Magician has just hit another fork.
The film will now be re-written by Tom Wheeler (Puss In Boots, The Cape) for Warner Brothers and Atlas Entertainment. The character will still be reimagined as a modern day magician.
Check out our timeline for this troubled project which at one time included Criss Angel as the title character and later released a teaser poster with the names of then-stars Hayden Christensen and Dijimon Hounsou in the Mandrake and Lothar roles respectively.
The latest version of the script, for which Wheeler will work from, was written by “12 Monkeys” writers David and Janet Peoples.
