Magic Castle On Fire

A fire occurred at the Hollywood Magic Castle, in the attic around noon today. Doesn’t appear anyone was hurt, the extent of the damage still to be determined.

    Glad nobody was hurt.  Hopefully most of the items in the castle were not damaged.

    The extent of the damage is only in the Main offices and what the members know of the castle as Dantes Room. There is water through out the place but as far as the items in the Castle the LAFD were the angels of this great tragedy. Before they even started fighting the fire they ran into the building and started covering furniture to protect it from water damage and they even started pulling paintings off the walls and brought them to the outside. 120 firefighters in all saved the lively hood of many magicians and people that call The Magic Castle their home. They are the hero’s, if they did not do exactly what they have done in the time that they did it this would have been much worse. 

    As for the cause of the fire few people know the truth and many people are spreading the rumor that the fire was caused by faulty wiring and an old building. That is not the truth what so ever. It was caused by a mistake from a group of  employes of a contracted roofing company. That is all that is known at this time Im sure as the investigation comes to an end there will be a press release on it. As for opening back up. The management, Bord of Directors and The Bord of Trusties hope to have the Castle back up an running by Friday.
