The iTricks TV Feature Look to close out the year of 2010 Has taken a lot of time and thought to pick the one video that stood out from all the rest. Every one of them were so great, But I have to give it to Laser Man. Theo Dari has taken the art of magic and SyFy to a whole new level with his simplistic moves he makes bends light with his bare hands as if he communicates with this glowing stream of power.
Theo first discovered the art of magic in Paris, France 1992; being a computer engineer with the love for science fiction he practiced the classic
arts of magic. After Magician Jeff McBride perform his act with mask and lights and having the idea of a SyFy Magic Act he started moving his practice into a whole new vision that has never been done before.
In 2003, the Laserman act received international acclaim. Theo was honored with the Silver Wand Award at the Monte-Carlo Magic Stars and later that year he received a highly coveted First Place ILDA Award for Special Applications at the ILDA (International Laser Display Association) conference in Brussels – the equivalent of an Oscar in the world of lasers!
The popularity of what has become Laser Man has created mass demand in 2005 Dari created the troop of LASERMEN his “replicants” that he trained him self that travel all over the world to promote his creation.
In 2010 over huge buzz and anticipation for Disney’s TRON: Legacy created a vast knowledge for the cyber punk aspect in the world. To build the anticipation even more for the movie at Disney’s California Adventure on the Hollywood Pictures Backlot at night the street transforms into the out of this world experience that is ElecTRONica. You plug into the Grid and experience all sorts of entertainment that could only have come from the movie, so who better to have joined in to this experience then LaserMan himself.
