During his Q&A at Magic-Con on Saturday morning, David Blaine said that his next special will “be my greatest and probably my last.”
He added it is slated for May 2011.
The session lasted about 45 minutes as part of the Magic-Con conference in San Diego. Blaine’s first special Street Magic aired on ABC in 1996. He also confessed that his inspiration for his signature street magic style of television presentation was partly drawn from a night spent in New York City central booking when he was arrested for jumping a subway turnstile. He said he swiped a deck of cards being used by others in the cell to play spades and performed for them with insane results.
