Remember Mike? The audience member of the Ellen show that got pulled out of the audience for a bit and wow’d the chat show sprite? Well, now he needs your help.

You see, Ellen would like him back on the show as a proper guest but he needs to send them video of something he’d like to do. Being the man who values the wisdom of our specific crowd he’s asked iTricks to get the word out for him.

So do you have an idea for how to fry Ellen yet again? Email magicmikeLA@gmail.com and let the man know.

Good thing Mike didn't perform The Raven coin vanish or Chuck Leach would be filing a lawsuit against him right now.

I'm calling "Fake". Several things point to it. Ellen says his name so many times it's like a huge promo. The camera director knows exactly where to shoot during a live " unrehearsed" close up card trick. ( just too perfect) and then there is Mike. He handles it really good for someone who is suddenly on national tv with no prep.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this but I am thinking it IS a stunt. And a darned good one.

    I love magic slang.....bump

    I agree with m_lapan.

I think he did a great job, and I like the effects he chose. They're strong, have good angles, and are easy to do when the pressure is on. Those two effects are classics for a reason.

Magicruuuules. Why do you have to insult the guy in some passive aggresive manner ? He had the guts to do it which i find to be the most amazing trick. She averages 3 million viewers. I would chicken out for sure.
Sure, they were standard routines.. but they amaze laymen. Laymen usually don't see magic all that often so they don't think in those term. He was real and sincere. That is something laymen will enjoy much more than some knuckle busting sleights.

he should listen to the previous pod cast for advice on what kind of magic to do on television. my opinion is a color changing deck if he is set on doing card magic or possibly Heirloom. I'm not sure how the later would go over on television but would fry Ellen.

just remember that it doesn't matter what magicians thank of what your doing or how simple it is. it matters how laymen like it. just look at how magicians use to think of David Blaine when he did the rising card with a gimmicked deck and bit a folding quarter.
  • Clear, clean, direct, they were able to make a few jokes, and the audience went wild. That's what counts at the end of the day. Good for him!

Very funny and personable. Good performance all around. Not so sure about saying the card is going to turn red vs. letting it be a surprise though. Otherwise excellent all around! Good for him! Two classics well performed. :)
  • MAGICRUUUULES!
Since it seems to be his thing to do standard routines that everyone is doing I think he should do the 21 Card Trick. I know he won't get to do the Hindu Force if he does that trick but I think he'll be okay.

That is awesome. Good for him. It is nice that Ellen is willing to have him on again, in light of the fact, she can get famous magicians probably anytime. One more reason to find Ellen so awesome. I gotta go find my invisible deck.
