According to the New York Times, David Blaine is even calm, cool collected and well dressed when submerged without a scuba tank amongst hungry sharks. At least when he’s doing it in the name of fashion.
A few months ago, the men’s-wear designer Adam Kimmel found himself 150 miles off the coast of Mexico, underwater, with a group of great white sharks circling him. Kimmel was looking out from a protective cage, but the entertainer David Blaine, a friend, was swimming in the open, breathing only occasionally through someone else’s regulator. To make things more interesting, Blaine was wearing a black tuxedo and red cape made by Kimmel, and was being filmed by the director Bob Talbot as a diver pushed him toward the toothy behemoths.
We need to get a hold of these pictures. It is non-negotiable.
