South American Report
There is a small possibility that you are now living in a Spanish speaking country after years of living in one where everyone spoke English. There’s a small possibility that you now speak, read, and write both English and Spanish fluently, and since you are now living in Latin America, you think it is a good idea to check out what is happening around this side of the world. There is a small possibility you want to know where to find the latest rumors about the South American magic scene online.
And because we care about the smallest of possibilities, here is a list of some prominent South American resources of information and news, all of which are, of course, written in your favorite language (after English):
- Blog de Magia is site updated almost daily with information on conventions, pictures, videos etc. It is run by Spain’s Tienda de Magia and, even though this is officially on the other side of the world, they seem to have the latest info on what happens in South America as well.
- Punto G is run by German Arciniegas, who updates regularly and adds three or four bits of news and entertainment at a time… He even takes the time to translate many iTricks reports for Spanish speaking readers!
- Portal Mundo Magia is a very active forum and column community from Argentina’s EMA society and deals with a lot of conventions, convention rumors and gossip.
- Here in Peru there is a new blog called Magia Peru, updated with information on the growing Peruvian scene and some of the big events happening outside the area.
More sources coming to you soon…
