The story of the Phantom of the Opera has been told many times over, but David Copperfield is not fooled. Nay, DC decides to investigate for himself and in the process finds himself 100 years in the past in the 1991 educational, semi-mockumentary The Secret Of The Phantom of the Opera.

Check out this site which offers quotes and stills from the flick or if you care for clips, hit up this intensely snarky YouTube review from a series entitled Phantom Reviews which apparently critiques film versions of the famous French tale of murder and singing. At the end of the two-part review the PR narrator asks why Copperfield didn’t make the admittedly silly project disappear, apparently he’s never heard of David’s legendary crusade to eliminate all reminences of his other foray into acting, Terror Train.

Thanks to Peter Booth for the tip.
