We know we have at least a handful of under-18 readers in Oz, so consider yourself notified. The first ever Australian Junior Championships of Magic will take place at the Melbourne Magic Festival this July.
Here are the competitions, according to a press release sent by the Australian Institute of Magic.
The Australian Junior Championships will offer two first prizes – Stage Magic Champion as well as Close Up Magic Champion. As well as titles, the winners will each receive $500 to spend at the famous Trick or Treat Magic Shop. Runners up will receive trophies and the audience will even get to vote for their favourite magician on the day.
The Stage Championship will be held on Saturday July 4 at 3:30 p.m. and The Close Up Championship on Saturday July 11 at 3:30 p.m. at The Northcote Town Hall. For more information visit the Melbourne Magic Festival website.
