Richard Lewis Hates Magicians.

Posted by Webb on May 31st, 2009

According to Las Vegas Weekly Comedian Richard Lewis, who is about to start his comedy show at The Venetian in Las Vegas in June, doesn’t like Magicians:

Magicians have this need to say, “hey, have a great show,” then they pull a pelican out of their rear end and I have an anxiety attack. Just say break a leg, I don’t need to see you pull wildlife out of your rear. Moron. I don’t get along with magicians. I keep to myself.

Lewis is hailed as a comic’s comic who was named by Comedy Central as one of the Top 50 stand-up comedians of all time. He made a career turning misery into comedy as one of the 20th century’s most influential humorists with his infamous phrase “the date from hell.” So don’t ask him to pick a card at the after show party.

Monica Bellucci Joins ‘The Sorcerers Apprentice’ Cast

Posted by Webb on May 31st, 2009

To help balance out the creepiness of Nic Cage’s magician outfit in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Disney has cast Monica Bellucci to star as his love interest, so reports JoBlow.com

Bellucci will star as Veronica, a sorceress who is described as the long-lost love of Cage’s character. Filming has been underway in New York City for some time, which points to the fact that Bellucci’s role isn’t high on screen time.

The film stars Cage and Jay Baruchel in the classic tale of the sorcerer and his assistant who accidentally unleashes trouble on the world. Bellucci has been promoting ‘Don’t Look Back’ at Cannes with Sophie Marceau.
