A UK children’s entertainer will walk more than 100 miles to London – dressed in a 7ft rabbit costume, according to The Portsmouth News.

Sean Lobban will be leading a group of other entertainers, including an escapologist, a juggler and a magician on the fundraising mission. The mammoth walk will take place over five days in May for the Anthony Nolan Trust, the leukaemia charity. Running under the name ‘Magic Trek’, he hopes they will raise more than £5,000, as the walk calls in at local Magical Societys on the way, ending up at the world famous Magic Circle in London.
We spoke to Sean about why he was walking:

The Anthony Nolan Trust helps people take their lives back from leukaemia by matching bone marrow donors to those who need transplants. I couldn’t imagine what it must be like to have a child who needs a bone marrow transplant; it must be an awful experience. And therefore I came to the conclusion that I wanted to help this charity.

The actual rabbit costume weighs in at almost 30lbs, and as well as Sean 69 year old Harold Straker will be working the entire 100 miles. A juggler, Laurie Brokenshire will be juggling whilst blindfolded! And Escapologist Rod Newman will perform an underwater escape if our target of £5000 is reached!

Sean have been giving out ’sponsor me’ cards at the recent magic conventions Sean said:

I handed out a lot of ‘sponsor me’ cards to dealers and fellow magicians, including David Blaine! We would love to see any magicians at any of the locations to cheer us on.
