RTE Entertainment reports that a stunt double for Daniel Radcliffe was “badly hurt” injured during an explosion on set during a rehearsal for a flying sequence. The 25 year old stuntman was working on the final movie in the series about the boy magician, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ when he was sent plummeting by the blast.
A source reported that:
“He told crew members who went to help him he couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. Everyone is just hoping he makes a good recovery. It has come as a terrible shock.”
The stuntman was taken to hospital after paramedics were called to the scene. A spokesman for the studio said: “We can confirm a member of the Harry Potter production was injured in an accident.”
Ali Bongo, one of the major thinkers and names in magic, and current president of The Magic Circle, was taken ill in France this week during a lecture.
He had been in France giving a lecture and had complained about feeling unwell before going on stage. Sources say that he ‘fainted’ during the talk and was taken to hospital.
After tests found nothing of major concern, he was kept in for precautionary measures, and is flying back to the UK this week.
He is said to be in good spirits and looking forward to returning to his own bed.
iTricks.com wishes him all the best and a speedy recovery.
The Buck Twins have announced on their site a new partnership with underground legend and Magic Castle librarian Bill Goodwin. New products are apparently forthcoming:
Bill Goodwin is one of the great creative thinkers and magic historians of our time with a superlative ability to handle cards. His ingenious methods have been tightly kept secrets locked away in his own notebooks. That is until now.
It is an honor for us to work closely with Bill Goodwin and offer an exclusive selection of his finest works.
Curious to see what’s first from this triumvirate.
Pittsburgh, 27-17. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has an unbeatable motivation: the NFL promised that if he wins a second Super Bowl, he can put an umlaut on his uniform.
If anyone can work a foreign language joke into a Super Bowl prediction, it’s P&T. Although the pair are self-admitted sports incompetents, it’s worth noting that they correctly predicted the winner and the score to Super Bowl XLI in 2007.
