Morgan Strebler has informed his blog readers that the brief retirement from the world of magic he embarked on a few weeks ago has ended. In explaining his decision here’s what we wrote…

I stated several weeks ago that I was going to leave magic to explore other opportunities in life. I still had a passion for magic, but grew weary of the politics. But when magic has been a part of your life for as long as you can remember, leaving it all behind is not as easy as you think. I still have many things that I want to do in life outside of magic, and will pursue them when time allows.

Interesting for listeners to the Magic Week in Review podcast, Morgan mentions the episode two weeks ago where his retirement announcement was discussed by guests Todd Diamond and Dimmare as part of the reason for his statement.

We finally got in touch with Morgan a week ago and have spoken a few times since. We can say with confidence that his decisions were made with the purest intentions.

It is with all sincerity* that we welcome back Brett Favre Morgan Stebler.

*and a smidgen of friendly mockery.

I fully agree with Lyle. Whoever was the "lame" poster, if you HAD been reading Itricks as often as you say, you would know how well respected Morgan is around here, and that when we all found out that he was retiring that it was a shock to a lot of us. So the news that he is coming back is really something that should be posted here. A lot of people were wondering what was going on, and turned to Itricks for some clarification. So to call it lame, and "someone who just wants attention" i think that you are the one who wants attention. I cant speak for everyone, but I would have to guess that most of the regular Itricks readers were very happy to read that article. I for one was one of them.

Lame? Not quite. Morgan Strebler is a respected magician and creator. I have loved the effects he has released since I started into magic. His decision to "leave" magic was a sad day for everyone who respected him. His change of heart is news we all wanted to hear. The reasons for his "leaving" magic give us a glimpse into a cancer that has found its way into magic. Everything posted has been something of worth to those who care. To those who don't care - read iTricks like you would a newspaper and carry on with the next article.

THIS IS LAME, I read Itricks each and every day. This is pathetic and lame news, and really this just points to a particular person wanting attention. Lets focus on all the super exciting stuff happening in this industry all over the world, If god forbid there is no news from Vegas, look abroad gentleman for interesting tales.

Is Itricks going the way of a tragic Vegas gossip blog ?
