He is one week into a five week run at the Planet Hollywood but Keith Barry confesses that he could make himself very, very comfortable in Sin City on a long-term basis. Barry tells Review-Journal columnist Mike Weatherford that he’s hoping to really impress one or two deep pocketed audience members before his current run is over.
Barry hopes the Planet Hollywood showcase will convince a producer to make a modest investment in him. “Just a couple of hundred grand,” he says. “It doesn’t need a lot of money. A little bit of budget can go a long way.”
He can envision a commute from the suburbs and staying in one place with his wife and nearly 3-month-old boy. He might even get a chance to master poker, something that’s been denied him so far.
“Nobody will play me,” he says.
So far the reviews have been kind to Barry’s show and as the Vegas trades reported yesterday that Stomp Out Loud is ending its run in the theater Barry is currently performing in. Would it be possible for Keith to just stay put past the five weeks?
