Here is how Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Mike Weatheford explains the above video

Magician Dixie Dooley is wondering if his annual Halloween attempt to contact Harry Houdini via séance paid off this year. Dooley claims a power failure generated a loud popping sound “right as I called on the spirit of Houdini,” scaring him as well as the audience.

“It was loud and really weird. … It’s the first time anything like that has ever happened. You can tell by my expression alone how real the moment was,” he says.

Interesting.

Looks like a fun event but I have to ask. What makes it the Official Houdini Seance? Hype or is there some authorized connection endorsing it?

The Houdini Seance is the only Seance held in Las Vegas with the approval of Houdini family, in which members have attended the Seance. It was also the first Seance ever held in Las Vegas for Houdini, 24 years ago. And for a period of about 15 years was the only Seance held in conjunction with Seance's all over the world. Next year will be the big year, as it will be the 25th.!
    Thanks for asking,
    DIXIE DOOLEY

So was the hair on your neck standing up after that! LOL! I have a tape recording of the one Bess said good bye to Harry. It is eerie and sad when she finaly says good bye. Does anyone recall what the code word was by chance?
