Currently in the middle of filming on an open top bus around Oxford st under the Christmas lights. Tried something I hope will pay off in a year or so. Could be quite exciting.
If we can pin the man down today, we’ll see what else we can find out.
We can reveal that at the 37th International Magic Convention in London, Famous ‘Mystifier’ Uri Gellar was awarded the Berglas Foundation – Services to Magic Award, by it’s chairman, David Berglas.
iTricks was there to cover the event that was only made public a few moments before Gellar arrived at the venue. Having flown in especially for the event from Germany.
The presentation was followed by an exclusive interview and question and answer session to those present.
Uri spoke suprisingly openly about his career, his views, the award itself, and his current projects.

From our conversations with Richard Turner at the 37th International Magic Convention In London this weekend, we learnt more about the touring show ‘Hoodwinked’.
Hoodwinked is the first show of its kind. The cast of “con artists”, cheats and swindlers expose the secrets of the streets in a wild night of schemes and scams. Throughout the show, volunteers from the audience will be invited on-stage to participate and at times the entire audience will be conned. By the time the evening is over, pockets will be picked, minds will be read, and someone’s gonna get scammed.
Possibly the most interesting news is just who makes up the cast of the the show, four of the most renowned international con artists: Bob Arno, Banachek, Todd Robbins and Richard Turner.
The show was initially scheduled to be a resident show at the Venetian in Las Vegas, but, apparently in the current credit crush, is now destined to head out on the road. November dates have been listed, but as yet December and onwards dates are still to be published.
Projo.com has a short interview with Simon Baker, star of ‘The Mentalist’ on how he feels about the role and the show.
“I’m really happy. Knock on wood. … This day and age, it’s a very competitive world, the television world. If people want to turn the television on and watch The Mentalist, then I’m very, very happy.”
The relatively new show had an out-of-the-gate top 10 rating, pulling a weekly audience of about 16 million.
Producer Bruno Heller has very clear views on the actualities of his series’ characters:
There’s an interesting moral ambivalence in people who do that job, who say they can get in touch with the spirit world or say they can read your mind, In one way, I think it’s rubbish. … But in another, they’re performing a genuine therapeutic function in people’s lives.”
Those kooky kids from Loading Ready Run are back to their wild ways have again committed to the virtual endless journey of Penn and Teller’s Desert Bus.
We covered their full journey last year and even snagged an interview, please head to DesertBus.org for all the information and video feeds. If you have no idea why a bunch of kids playing a video game non-stop is so hard, please read the Wikipedia.
Of course, all proceeds go to the very worthy Child’s Play charity.
Lance Burton is still standing even with the big Cirque competition down the block. Gerry McCambridge is helping love bloom and wise words about the Vegas magic industry from Dave Attell.
