Much less terrifying than this Marlo, Ed will thrill you with some killer card moves in this classic clip. It joins a clip of classic Charlie Miller as our favorite videos uploaded in the past 24 hours.
If you have a video you want to see on iTricks.TV, make sure to send it to MagicVideos@iTricks.com. Keep your eye on iTricks.TV for our constantly updated feed.
Another magic event tonight at 10 p.m.? Thankfully this one doesn’t require a road trip and liveblog but those who enjoy Penn Jillette’s political musing will want to see more than half of Penn and Teller (by weight) on Bloomberg TV’s Night Talk at 10 p.m.
This reminder came from Libertarian candidate for president Bob Barr’s webpage and since Penn is an ardent free market advocate, it is a safe bet he’s not going on to extoll the virtues of collectivism this evening.
Looks like Keith Barry, whose TED video is currently making the internet rounds, will be taking a bit more of an escape-y route with his newest stunt.
Keith is currently gearing up for a death-defying stunt to promote a new TV show that could leave the Waterford-born illusionist splattered on the pavement.
“I’m going to jump out of an airplane with a straitjacket over the parachute. I have to escape the jacket before I hit the cement.
“It is probably the most dangerous stunt I have ever attempted but you have to keep raising your game,” he said.
No word on when you can expect to see the big event, we’ll keep you posted.
What you see above is what the iPhone of iTricks editor Justin Robert Young sees. It will update as he uploads pictures to the iTricks Flickr profile. Look for written updates below these words and hopefully short videos if possible. If you smash your face against the computer, it’s pretty much like you’re there!

This weeks new magic review features “The Scents of Smell” by David Leon. You’ll also witness an “Exorcism” thanks to Jon Maronge. Aldo Colombini brings us his “Easy Coins” book plus much more… let’s dig into it!
Scents Of Smell By David Leon Productions:
David was taught the basis for this real funny routine by his Grandfather, Leon M Leon. David Leon is the fourth generation of Magic Leon’s. His Great grandfather is the Great Leon of Vaudeville fame. David has been performing this routine for many years and has been talked into releasing it to the magic community! What is Scents of Smell? Well it isn’t your every day “pick a card and find it routine”. You’ll find their card by smelling it! That’s right, it’s true and it is easy to do. So easy you can even do it blindfolded! There are many surprises and lots of laughs. David uses an old, under estimated principle and works in a real funny routine.

Blink By Mark Mason And JB Magic:
A card is selected and returned to the deck, the magician claims he will find the card. You look through the deck and remove one card and place it onto the face of the deck. The spectator claims this is the wrong card. You now slowly wave the deck up and down. The card VISUALLY CHANGES into the selection. No covering the deck with your hands or a silk etc the card is in full view the entire time. The selection is removed and shown on both sides. You need to see it to believe it. BLINK IS AMAZING.

Easy Coins By Aldo Colombini:
Coin Magic is usually very difficult to perform, and requires sleight of hand and manipulation. In this booklet, you will find SEVEN very strong coin routines requiring NO SLEIGHTS AT ALL and totally impromptu using ordinary coins. I predict you will never stop doing them. Although in the description I use American coins, any coins from any country can be used and can be borrowed from the spectators. Booklet with many illustrations.

Exorcism By David Mann And John Maronge:
EXORCISM is an effect that will leave your audience speechless. Get on your party hat to start this routine by telling your audience that you misplaced the deck of cards that you had been performing with earlier. Thank goodness you stopped by a friend’s house on the way or else you wouldn’t be able to perform a cool card trick that you had just learned.

Freaky is a fresh, funny and outrageous take on magic that is aimed at young, street-wise viewers who wouldn’t be caught dead in the audience of a typical magician. The “Kings of the Curious” are far from the typical, run-of-the-mill magicians. They are six talented young performers who ply their wares anywhere an unsuspecting audience can be found; on the streets, in a fish market, or in their own electronic performance spaces.
We are not completely up to speed on this one, so anyone who has seen or knows about the series, feel free to email Justin [at] iTricks /dot/ com. We seriously had to dig to find the intro video which was apparently posted on YouTube by the company that put it together.
Also discovered with some internet rummaging is that the eight episode series first ran on Channel 4 in the UK and was the brain child of presenter Stephen Mulhern. He apparently, created, wrote and executive produced as well although all of that isn’t reflected in his IMdb profile.
