iTricks.TV

Adam Mada is back with a bizarre routine entitled Hell’s Bar in which he engages his rival Vegas to a stylistic magic duel. It’s odd, it’s bloody, it’s our Pick of the Day. It joins a Mada clip called Somnium as our favorite video uploaded in the past 24 hours.

This coming in from both the Las Vegas Review Journal as well as the Los Angeles Times’ Moveable Buffet blog…

Cirque du Soleil has confirmed for the Buffet this report on the Steve Friess blog that the opening of the new show “Believe” at Luxor starring Criss Angel has been delayed due to “technical difficulties.” Cirque has offered no further details. Instead of having a grand opening in September, the event has been moved to October, for now.

This is bad new for Loyals who were exclusively given the opportunity to purchase tickets for the earliest performances, which are now scrapped. Those who did have tickets for the affected shows will be given tickets to corresponding performances when the show begins.

This was also broken on Steve Friess’ blog.

We will follow up when we know more…

McCambridge A Million Dollar Mentalist? He Certainly Has The Bling For It

Last night, we were visited by a few interesting commenters on our post about Gerry McCambridge and his Hooters contract extension. First, fellow Phenomenon contestant Jim Callahan offered his congratulations and then someone who identified themselves as Flamingo man of the hour Nathan Burton mentioned that Gerry’s new deal will mean a million dollar pay day for The Mentalist.

We are reasonably sure that the commenter is likely the genuine article, but then again, it is the internet so take it with a grain of salt until we can confirm.

The alleged Burton did point out that Gerry has a picture on his website of the watch he was presented with by the Hooters COO during the announcement. It is the one to the right of this text.

Yowzer.

Magic books - Andi Gladwin

Andi Gladwin has begun a very special tribute to his late friend Jack Parker on his website. For the next seven days, Andi will post a Parker video. The first features Jack as his alter-ego Diggler.

Very cool.

This all coincides with the release of 52 Memories, a compilation of 52 Parker moves and tricks as well as a look at the man’s life in magic. We encourage all reading to check it out.

Ladies Love Penn Since He Had A Toddler

Posted by Editor on June 29th, 2008

On E!s Chelsea Lately talk show, Penn talked about the different reaction he would get from women before and after he had his daughter Moxie. Specifically, the microcosm of female thought known as The View did a complete 180.

Before Moxie’s appearance, “I believe every woman on that panel hated me,” he told Handler. “Then I had a child, and we brought Moxie in to do some cheesy magic trick, and all of a sudden the women of ‘The View’ love me.”

Fun Incorporated

This week on the Magic Week in Review we are joined by the guys from Fun Inc. and Royal Magic: John Sturk, Tomas Medina and Gabe Fajuri.

We discuss the next SciFi run of Derren Brown material, how Criss Angel can spice up his building implosion and even detour into a brief debates on superpowers and Chuck Klosterman.

But really, the reason to listen to this episode is the dry, knowing voice of Gabe. His one-liners, most of them disgusted reactions to “jokes” made by his co-workers, were so inspiring we had to put it to music.

So ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, iTricks is proud to present the newest spine-rattling trend to hit South Beach… Fajuri.

Enjoy!
