		<description>Nice... but you are right.  Having seen both worlds, I am constantly making the exact same comparison between magic and music.  I have known so many guys who toil away in obscurity (at least to the public) who are able to live very well because they are protected by groups like ASCAP from being steamrollered by others.  The sad fact, of course, is that you will find all too many magicians avoiding paying for music licenses, whining about what horrible bullies these groups are ...  

Given the huge amount of piracy and theft you can easily find in the magic industry, one has to be pretty lazy, misinformed or just plain playing fast and loose with the facts to come to the conclusions being summarized in these blogs.</description>
