This is Vanishing Vinny performing a very funny Egg Bag routine while tossing a few pointed barbs at his grandmother. How good is it? So good that we are going to give you yet another Vinny clip. This one features highlights from his full show. As a random kicker, here is a six-year-old girl doing the ambitious card routine. We’re pretty sure she isn’t Vinny’s.

Derren Brown’s New Job: Middle East Envoy

Posted by Editor on July 31st, 2007

Could Brown Baffle Ahmadinejad?

Or at least it would be if the New York Sun had it’s way. Only one episode into his new Sci Fi series and the the Big Apple’s conservative paper is already looking to redeploy our British import for the betterment of geopolitics in the Middle East.

If anyone can figure out exactly how many nukes Mr. Ahmadinejad has up his sleeve, surely it’s Mr. Brown, whose mind-reading abilities are nothing short of miraculous. (He seems to be able to guess, to the nearest dollar, the exact amount of money people have in their wallets. Why not the same with silos?) In an upcoming program, he even convinces someone the sun has disappeared, vanished, gone forever. Surely he could work his voodoo on the Sunnis and Shiites (”You love each other, you love the Americans, you are all going to be very happy together”).

Then, he should gather up the appropriate heads of state for a countryside retreat, implant subtle triggers into their psyche and then weeks later, after they’re all mysteriously walking down the same street and a passing car blares a Jackson 5 song, a peace treaty is signed and ratified before they even regain consciousness. Just a thought.
