UPDATE: The helpful Brendon Connelly of Filmick.co.uk points us to a listing in the new issue of Radio Times which tells us…

Friday 13 April
10:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Channel 4

Psychological illusionist Derren Brown involves members of the public and celebrity guests in a fiendish version of the Halloween game. This week, having pulled a trick card, an unsuspecting man is put to sleep in a photo booth in London, only to awake in Marrakech. He also plays a game of fate with the stars on the League of Gentlemen involving chocolate mini-rolls.

However, still no C4 listing…

Derren Delayed?

Will British iTricks readers and the rest of the Derren Brown faithful get to see the beginning of the much hyped new Brown series Trick Or Treat next week? Both Brown’s official site and MySpace say that it begins on April 13th but we can find no mention of the new show the C4 website. Also, both notices have the ominous warning that the debut date “may change.”

So when do we get to be tricked and/or treated to Brown’s new series? Would any delay maybe possibly be due to the Sci Fi deal? Questions abound.

Also, apparently the revelation of Browns “photo booth to Morocco” stunt was part of a Daily Mail investigation to prove the mentalist a fraud, or at least presumably a user of stooges. According to his official website, the reporters revealed themselves to the production crew after they found nothing fishy and will run story about the investigation when the series begins to air.
