“How do you close a show?” I usually close my show with “a bit of nothing”. 
Immediately following the big strong closer I bring it down a little and talk with the audience thanking them and saying my goodbyes. All this while I perform a visual simple effect in my hands. The end of the effect ties into my parting remarks and is also a visual cue to let them know I’m done….and they should applaud.
