Clever Canadian teenage magic inventor Michael Kras is back with an impromptu self-levitation. Derek Merdinyan has kindly put it into PDF form with photos and text.
This is a physically challenging stunt that’s done on the edge of a set of steps. You perform this at your own risk!
The secret password is Michael’s home country (Hint: It begins with a capital “C”): Download Airstep

this effect is so good no joke i tryed many diffrent hight and even over my pool till i fell in but anyways great job mike
OMG I watched it, im the other magician from westmount Reuben, remember me? Hope we can do a trick together sometime.
It’s a nice illusion, but you need the right shoes to make it work (not actually slip ons). It should freak some minds if I do it on top of my school. (rope attached for saftey…mabye)
Thanks a bunch! If you do want to do this off your school, keep a rope attached OR some sort of sutrdy supoort that doesn’t wreck the illusion. Really, there’s a HHHUUUUGGGEEEE risk of serious injury or death if you perform it impromptu. Don’t do it unless you’ve got a SAFE method.
Enjoy, and glad you like it!
Brian,
Do not do this or any other trick on top of your school. Do not do this from any height where you could be hurt. This is meant to be done on a curb or some low height.
Mayniacs only like to do things that *look* dangerous.
Andrew
Sorry about the 1st comment, everything sounds good at 2:00am
Yes, I’m going to have to second that. Do not perform this on anything taller than you - if even higher than your waist.
The balance required for this levitation is difficult enough.
Thanks so much Michael, this is an awesome effect, and i took Raymond’s advice as well, i did it so that my shoes were just touching the top of the water to make it look as if you’re standing on water, which is also a great effect.
For those of you having balance troubles, I recommend you lightly place your fingertips on the railing next to you for help. Glad you all like it!
Michael
